About the Pi Soft kS Engine

The Pi Soft® kS is a high volume encryption and automated key management system. It encrypts data with per-call generated cryptographic key, encrypts the key and encrypts the link between the data and the key. Below is a detailed description of the process.

  1. Data to be encrypted is selected by the user, and a request for encryption is sent.
  2. A randomly generated, transaction-based symmetric key is created.
  3. A random Key ID is created.
  4. The key is encrypted.
  5. The encrypted key and its Key ID are stored in a Key Database
  6. The Key ID is encrypted, producing a T-tag, also referred to as a hidden link within the object methods and attributes
  7. The data is encrypted.
  8. The encrypted data and the T-tag are returned to the user.
  9. The encrypted data and the key used to encrypt it are completely separated, both physically and logically, and the link between them is hidden.

The Pi Soft kS also includes a fully integrated administration module, kS Manager, which supports the administration of the Pi Soft kS system, including the management of user authentication and authorization criteria.
